CFC Annual Lobby Day Reception: Minister Lawrence MacAulay and Member of Parliament Yves Perron
Chicken Farmers of Canada hosted its Annual Lobby Day and Reception on May 28th in Ottawa. CFC representatives from across the country participated in meetings with Parliamentarians to discuss the day-to-day realities of operating a farm in Canada, and the importance of the Canadian chicken sector to communities and the broader economy. Representatives spoke on a variety of topics like supply management, the Raised by a Canadian Farmer Animal Care Program, spent fowl, avian influenza, antimicrobial use and resistance, as well as important legislation before Parliament, like Bill C-282. We had a successful lobby day reaching a total of 57 Parliamentarians from all provinces!
