December 14, 2023 (OTTAWA)— Chicken Farmers of Canada, located in the Nation’s Capital, is stepping up to help fight hunger. Today, CFC announced a $10,000 cash donation to the Ottawa Food Bank in recognition of the food bank’s urgent need for help.
Chicken Farmers of Canada has been a consistent supporter of the Ottawa Food Bank since 2007, and has already made considerable contributions through food donations and staff donations called the Chicken Challenge Program. Their overall contributions to date, which include product donations and staff contributions, total $815,000.
Tim Klompmaker, Chair of Chicken Farmers of Canada, pointed out the significance of this contribution, adding, “For all Canadians, these are very challenging times, and it is important for us to answer the call for help by providing tangible support to the city and region where our staff reside.”
This commitment aligns with Chicken Farmers of Canada’s belief in the importance of giving back to communities and ensuring every Canadian has access to a safe and healthy source of protein.
